Andrew Orchard was born in 1985 and lived in Haneytown, New Brunswick for most of his life. He graduated from Oromocto high school in 2003, and continued his education at the University of New Brunswick and New Brunswick Community College. Currently he resides in Lincoln New Brunswick with his wife, and can often be seen in and around Fredericton in “the ‘Hardscapes’ truck”.
He comes by his entrepreneurial spirit quite naturally, with parents who owned a local Nursery and Landscaping company in Haneytown. His father, Frank Orchard, inspired Andrew to pursue Landscaping and owning and operating his own business. Andrew brings a lot to the table with a wealth of knowledge in the landscaping field as he has worked with many different products and with some of the best landscaping companies in Canada.
In 2010, Andrew had the opportunity to make his plans a reality by teaming up with longtime friend Marc Maillet to pursue a small business in landscaping. He stands behind what he sells, ensures quality installations, and creates innovative designs to suit all of his client’s budgets. Andrew is a commercial ICPI certified installer, landscape horticulturist, licensed construction electrician, and continues to amaze clients with his 3D planning that even they couldn’t imagine.
When Andy isn’t pouring over estimates and creating projects, one might say his NEXT favorite thing to do would be hitting the snowmobile trails, races, and everything in between with his ‘Relic Racing’ buddies. Nothing like a little fresh air to help us focus on the tasks at hand, right?
Marc Maillet, who was born in 1985; was raised in Burton, New Brunswick, and grew up in the Oromocto/Fredericton area. Graduating from Oromocto High School in 2003; he went on to pursue his plans to start his own business. He graduated from the University of New Brunswick with a Bachelor of Business Administration concentrating on Finance and Accounting.
Coming from a family of entrepreneurs and small local business owners, he believes in providing only the best customer service and delivering the highest quality products. He’s passionate about supporting other small business owners and giving back to our local communities.
In 2010, an opportunity arose to start a small business with Andrew Orchard and from there they have grown Hardscapes into something that has become synonymous with the unique and impressive landscape projects that set them apart from their competitors.
Marc is a Residential Landscape Specialist, Site Coordinator, and Estimator.
Miguel De Gante is our hardscape EXPERT. His bright smile joined our team over seven years ago and has kept us laughing ever since. He brightens up everyone’s day and creates a bond with all of our clients.
He has been working in the industry since he was young and comes from a long line of landscapers. He was born in Mexico but has called the capital city his home for 15 years.
Miguel is a stellar employee, hardworking, and can always be relied upon to be there, prepared, and ON TIME. If you need anything done and done PERFECTLY, Miguel is your guy.
He loves to spend his downtime relaxing and spending time with family and his cute puppy, Niko.
Matt Godin is our site foreman and the best Skid-steer operator in the city. He joined our team last year coming to us with over 15 years of experience.
He is a Red Seal Landscape Horticulturalist with a wealth of experience and knowledge in Hardscape projects.
He loves spending time with his son, fishing, and chasing waterfalls around the province. He is a snowmobile enthusiast with a need for speed. He keeps the job sites full of laughter with his one-of-a-kind sense of humour.
